Is it for me?

There are KJ PowerShoes for Juniors aged 5+ (40lb/18kg-99lb/45kg) and KJ XR3 or KJ Pro series for teens and adults (70lb/32kg-20st/125kg and over). All KJ shoes must be adjusted according to the user’s body weight. Available in different sizes from Junior UK13 up to adult UK14 and in variety of colours.
What should I know before I start?
KJ shoes are very easy to use. Wear comfortable gym clothing (ladies – sports bra), thick or double calf length cotton socks. Always put the boots on and take off while seated. Fasten the buckles so that you hear a small click. Do not make them too tight, readjust immediately if you feel discomfort. Stand up slowly, looking ahead. Start with a light run in place, jumping from one foot to the other. Move the center of gravity on the entire foot, not just on toes or heels, legs are best placed shoulder-width apart.
Are there any contraindications?
As with any other type of fitness or sport, KJ Fitness Programs have some contraindications. They are not permitted while pregnant due to the relatively high intensity of the performance of rebounding. As well as contraindicated for the categories of people with cervical spondylosis. Always consult doctor/medical expert before taking part in any kind of exercise. See Physical Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ).
Am I fit enough to do this?
Kangoo Jumps® Fitness classes are suitable for all fitness levels. However, it is your personal responsibility to consult with the physician prior to starting this exercise. KJ rebound shoes are used at your own risk. You may feel a bit dizzy or lightheaded after your first few times using KJ rebound shoes. Your body may just need some time to adjust to this new type of movement, but you should still stop working out if you feel faint or dizzy. If these feelings continue for several workouts, contact your doctor. Stop jumping immediately if you notice any shortness of breath, pain, or other warning signs with your health, contact doctor asap.
How can I join the class?
We strongly recommend attending classes only with licensed Kangoo Jumps® instructors!!! It may seem a simple form of fitness, however, there are many rules and techniques that require knowledge and licensed training. They are also taught how to adjust the boots according to a user’s needs as well as a proper boots maintenance.
Can I fall? Are the boots safe?
Kangoo Jumps® rebound shoes are designed to be very safe and suitable for all kinds of surfaces. Losing balance and falling is the most common fear in participants. However, KJ rebound shoes are very safe. It only takes a few minutes to get used to the boots and find the centre of gravity. In no time you will catch yourself running and jumping around with a big smile on your face.
Overweight/Sedentary lifestyle? Kangoo Jumps® may be for you!
Excess weight puts extra stress on the joints that support the body, especially hips and knees. By wearing KJ rebound shoes you lighten the stress by 80%. The lower part of the boots – Impact Protection System – helps counteract the effect of overweight on your joint structures. The excessive pressure exerted by the overweight is absorbed during the compression of the boots, freeing your joints from unnecessary stress. Exercise with pleasure and feel the freedom of movement!
Weak bladder/Urinary
Incontinence Urinary incontinence can be caused by everyday habits, underlying medical conditions or physical problems. A thorough evaluation by your doctor can help determine what’s behind your incontinence. Also, extra weight increases pressure on bladder and surrounding muscles, which weakens them and allows urine to leak out when you cough, sneeze. Similar may happen when performing in Kangoo Jumps® class. We advise you to empty the bladder just minutes before the exercise and wear incontinence liners / sanitary pads
Why KJ is so effective for weight loss?
Scientifically proven, you will spend about 20-25% more calories during KJ workout compared to a similar workout done with conventional shoes. With a regular practice of KJ, the lymphatic system is stimulated and the metabolism improves, promoting the increased transfer of nutrients and oxygen, and elimination of toxins from the body. The basal metabolic rate is becoming more and more effective, resulting in significant improvements in muscle tone and weight management. Once the basal metabolism accelerates, you will burn more calories, even at rest!
Feeling any discomfort/pains?
Although a very few may feel any discomfort while exercising on KJ, it is normal to feel some discomfort in your shoulders, lower back and feet during the first sessions. This is due to the correction of posture that occurs on the boots. Training on KJ boots has the virtue of naturally realigning the body and correcting imbalances in your posture, pronation, supination. This discomfort/pains are not worrying if they eventually fade or disappear over regular workouts. The body adjusts slowly and we must give it a chance to adapt. If the pain persists, you may need to use special alignment soles or speak to your physician/medical expert.
Eating/Drinking before Kangoo Jumps® workout
Always follow a healthy meal plan, stay hydrated throughout the day. Avoid/limit drinks like caffeinated coffee, tea, and sodas, which may increase urination a couple of hours before the scheduled class. But don’t limit water intake! Avoid full/heavy meals at least 2-3 hours before the scheduled class. Digestion is important, it precedence over other body functions. Some participants complain about the stitch while exercising. It is often caused by digestion. Stay hydrated throughout and after the class
